Ciara Bedingfield is a Fine Art Photographer who exhibits her work internationally. She works with editorial, portrait and illustrative assignments. Her work has been used commercially for Book Jackets, Music C.D's, Web Illustration and Advertising.
Her work is currently represented by Photonica USA, The Trevillion Picture Library in London, UK, Camera Press International - LA. SOMA Print Room, San Francisco and The Mill and Short Gallery, San Francisco. Ciara's work was recently part of a group show at the Sonoma Museum of Visual Art in Santa Rosa, California, during March 2002. Ciara's most recent solo exhibition was at Humboldt State University's Rease Bullen Gallery and at First Street Gallery in Eureka during February 2000. The show at Humboldt titled Inside / Outside, brought together the work of Ciara Bedingfield and Tomas Nakada. Recently reviews of her work have appeared in Artweek and Photo Metro Magazine. Her work was also included in a book by Eddie Ephraums titled "What's Missing-new conversations on black and white photography" published in 2000.
Ciara's teaching experience is extensive. She has taught classes at San Francisco's City College, The San Francisco Art Institute, The Academy Of Art College, Rayko Photography, Focus Gallery, Studio One and The Harvey Milk Photography Center. She also teaches the Photography Camps at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. She has worked on many community based photography projects. Recently she has worked with the San Francisco's Art Commission and SOMArts, ArtSpan group as well as The Market Street In Transit project. Ciara has also curated a show for Visual AID at in San Francisco's SOMA district.
